On-site and remote alarms/notifications for abnormal BESS events, including high/elevated temperatures, overcharging, electrical faults, thermal runaway, water ingress, BMS failure, activation of safety systems (including cooling, venting and fire protection). In 2020 and 2021, eight BESS installations were evaluated for fire protection and hazard mitigation using the ESIC Reference HMA.
