(KPL/VNA) The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has issued a decision approving a price framework for electricity imports from Laos starting from December 31, 2025. The maximum price for hydroelectric power plants is set at 6.78 US cents/kWh, down from the current rate of 6.95 cents/kWh.
In Laos, electricity generation in the Energy market is projected to reach 31.41bn kWh in 2025. The country is expected to experience an annual growth rate of 3.40% (CAGR 2025-2029). Additionally, overall emission intensity in Laos is anticipated to be 305.21gCO2/kWh in 2025.
